I seriously wanted to knock over an old lady pushing a shopping cart in Toys R Us. First of all I should have never been in that store. It is not good for my mental status. I thought I would brave it since it was the middle of the week and it's not time for last minute shopping yet. Who knew that many people would be shopping on a Wednesday. Who knew so many stupid people would be shopping on a Wednesday. Toy R Us shopping carts are quite large so they take up most of the aisle. No way are two cart going to fit in one aisle at the same time. So, of course every aisle I wanted to go down was blocked by someone. All of the sudden I see an open lane. A straight shot to the front of the store. I position myself for a speedy exit when all of the sudden an old lady comes out of a side aisle and cuts me off. She then proceeds to leisurely walk and stop to browse while taking up the entire aisle. I had Nicholas with me so I had to be nice, but I so wanted to ram her cart and push her out of the way. I finally made my way past her when she made a right turn. She was oblivious to the fact there was a line of 4 people behind her; or maybe she just didn't care. If I am going to continue to try and shop in public then I guess I'm going to have to adopt that "I don't care" attitude. I wanted to get out of the store as soon as possible so her and I wouldn't be on the road together. If she drives her cart that way I'm sure her car is not much different. I thought I was home free until I was exiting the parking lot. Here comes this 20 something girl, talking on her cell phone, smoking a cigarette and driving on the wrong side of the lane attempting to cut me off so she could get a close parking spot so her fat ass didn't have to waste any steps. I was poised to floor it and run her car back to where she came from, until I noticed she had a small child in the backseat. Poor innocent child she is unaware that her Mother is an inconsiderate ass; or maybe she knows and secretly wishes I would have run her over.
I wouldn't really do most of the stuff I have mentioned, they are just fleeting thoughts to make me feel better. However; if I continue to shop from now until Christmas those fleeting thoughts are more likely to become an impulsive act. So I'm staying home so I can stay out of jail. I have no patience for rude people especially this time of year.
Christmas shopping.....bah humbug!
Complete Randomness. This is the ADHD of blogs; never focusing on one subject for very long.

Five Finger Discount
Patti's TOTD #12: If you are buying something in a box where you can't actually see the item, open it before purchasing. You would think that if you make a purchase that is all boxed up, all of the parts and pieces would be there. It's bad enough when the manufacturer forgets a screw or some other part of the item you purchased. However, it is frustrating and down right wrong when someone has stolen something out of the box that you just purchased. Check before you buy so you don't have to make a return trip.
I bought a set of pans at Target the other day. Should have been three pans, two lids, and a steamer. Everything was wrapped up in plastic with the stickers still on the pans and packed nicely. I removed everything from the box and realized that one of the pans was missing. I counted and recounted. Then I noticed that one of the other pans actually had dried food stuck on it. Some son of a bitch bought it, used it, stole a pan and then returned the rest. I hope that the jerk that stole the pan is walking with a pan full of spaghetti sauce and the handle breaks and sauce spills all over his white carpet. This isn't the first time that something like this has happened to me either. I ordered an electric toothbrush online and when I recieved the box, it was empty. Again, someone probably returned it and they didn't bother checking the box. I was at Walmart tonight buying light bulbs. The first box of 4 that I picked up only had 3 bulbs in it. I gave the box to the clerk and he told me stories of what he has witnessed people do to steal stuff. I just hope that the honest people in this world still out number the dishonest people.

Freedom of Speech
Freedom of Speech is a wonderful thing. You can say whatever you want to say no matter how ignorant and closed minded you happen to be. Go America!

Michael, Michael, Michael
What were you thinking Michael Phelps? Apparently not thinking. That Mary Jane kills brain cells, not to mention decreases lung capacity. My first thought when I heard of his indiscretion was to say, "What an Idiot!" Then I thought about it and I'm kind of feeling bad for him now. Obviously he is not a stoner. He couldn't have achieved what he has by smoking pot everyday. It takes extreme dedication and sacrifice to do what he has done in the sports world. He was just cuttin loose and having a little fun, albeit illegal fun. His biggest mistake was to do it around people that didn't have his best interests at heart. If that picture came from one of his friends, then he best be cutting them loose. I give him credit for admitting his guilt. He didn't try to blame it on someone else, or say it wasn't him. That makes him a stand up guy as far as I'm concerned. He got his punishment. He lost millions of $$$$$. Kellogg dropped him as a spokesperson. I think that was a move they had to make. Most of their products are geared toward kids. However, the groups that support the legalization of pot have his back. They are boycotting Kellogg's products. No more pop tarts for them. Go stoners! I'm just glad that there weren't cell phone cameras back in the late 70's or I'd have some explaining to do. "No really mom, my eyes are just red because I went swimming today."

Hit and Run
I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about a book by Larry Winget. I don't know who Larry Winget is and I don't know if I would like the book, but the title is great. "People Are Idiots...And I Can Prove It". I may have to get it to see if he shares any of my views on the less than stellar portion of our society. I believe the title is somewhat of a misnomer because this Larry guy is a motivational speaker. I'm not sure that calling people idiots would be very motivational. It may be worth a look though. I'm going to write my own book and it's going to be called: "People Don't Give A Shit...And I Can Prove It". Case in Point. Put yourself in this scenario. You drive a County snow plow. Your in this big truck that has a large blade across the front that protrudes out from the sides. There are large mirrors on either side to help you see the cars that are stacked up behind you and the idiot that is trying to pass you on a snow covered icy road. You work for the County, so you know that there are mailboxes that line one side of the road. The mailboxes have to be there so the mail carrier can reach it. They aren't in the road or hanging over into the road, so you know that if you drive your plow probably 2 feet away from any mailbox, you won't hit it with your blade or mirror. Right? Well......the rocket scientists that drive the snow plow down my street have not figured that out. My mailbox got its head knocked off. If this was the first time it occurred I wouldn't be so quick to judge. You know, accidents happen, but this is the second time that my mailbox was the victim of a hit and run by a snowplow. After the first time, the County paid for a new mailbox. If I can't fix this mailbox, they will be getting a bill for it too. That is probably why my taxes keep going up, the drivers hit the mailboxes and figure that the County will pay for it. They just don't give a SHIT! They need to do Yoga.
